John “Jay” A. Williams, Jr., Managing Partner.
Mr. Williams is the Managing Partner of Williams Venture Partners. He has 15 years of investment management experience with an emphasis on deal syndication and investment analysis. Prior to founding Williams Venture Partners, Mr. Williams served as the Director of Business Development for Williams Realty Advisors and he remains involved as a member of the Investment Committee for both the “Williams Realty Fund I” and the “Williams Opportunity Fund”. In 2001, Mr. Williams co-founded Oxford Properties a diversified development and construction company that he ultimately sold in 2007. Prior to forming Oxford, Mr. Williams founded Williams Investment Group, Inc. in 1994. Mr. Williams continues to serve as the President of Williams Investment Group, a diversified investment company specializing in both real estate and venture capital. Mr. Williams currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Bank of North Georgia, Coco Bonbons, Inc., Open Hand Atlanta, the Advisory Board of RentBureau, LLC. and is the Founder and Chairman of Brightside Foundation. Mr. Williams previously served on the Board of Directors of The Buckhead Business Association and the PATH Foundation.


Gavin P. Kleinknecht, Partner.
Mr. Kleinknecht is a partner with Williams Venture Partners. Mr. Kleinknecht is a licensed attorney with a Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law and is a member in good standing with the Georgia Bar. While practicing law, Mr. Kleinknecht devoted his career to business and real estate transactions, including private business acquisitions, mergers, recapitalizations, institutional and private debt facility placements and commercial loan closings. Mr. Kleinknecht has also managed private venture investments as a former partner of Clarent Capital, Rebus Investment Company and PowerFunding. In addition to his current role at Williams Venture Partners, Mr. Kleinknecht is an advisor to Southern Diversified Products and J. D’Anna Distilling, and serves on the Board of Directors of 29 Luxury Goods, Inc. Mr. Kleinknecht is also a Trustee for the Knight Vision Foundation, through which he stays involved with charities such as Habitat for Humanity, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Chastain Horse Park and the Atlanta Union Mission.
